Rev. Russ Goins

Rev Russ Goins, Pastor Russ, Preacher Russ and Preacher are just a few of the names he will answer to. He is a local boy who grew up and was brought up in this very church. His service with the church began as a young adult Sunday school teacher and later adult class teacher. From there, he became a deacon and then, chairman deacon. But God wasn’t done. He was then called into the ministry. After a short while as an evangelist, Preacher Russ was elected pastor of Pee Dee Baptist Church. From that day, and everyday since, he has devoted everything to his service in the Lord and his responsibility to the Church. His overwhelming faith and obedience to the Lord can be seen in his everyday walk. Many things can be said (good and bad) about the Pastor, but no one can deny his unwavering adherence to the word of God. Truly a child of God, who meets every expectation as a friend, brother and Pastor.
